Premium users can access their music offline, but you have to be online while using the streaming platform if you are using a free account. To download music on Spotify, you need to be a Spotify Premium member. Sadly, free users are limited to downloading podcasts on their phones. Primarily, they work by routing your internet connection through a server from a location of your choice. The app claimed I had no internet connection on my cell phone and there were “no offline results found for” whatever I was searching for. As a Spotify Premium member, you can download your music all at once from either albums or playlists. Spotify program says it is "Offline", but computer is connected to Internet. What is not to love?! But I am only able to use the internet.
